How to Delete Your Account
To delete your Who's Hungry account and all associated data, follow these steps:
- Log into your account from any platform (web, Android, iOS, or desktop)
- Tap or click the hamburger menu (☰) in the top right corner
- Select "Account" from the menu
- Scroll down to the bottom of the Account screen
- Tap or click "Delete Account"
- Confirm your decision when prompted
⚠️ Important: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Please make sure you want to proceed before confirming deletion.
What Gets Deleted
When you delete your account, we permanently remove the following data:
- Profile Information: Username, email address, phone number
- Preferences: All cuisine preferences and ratings
- Search History: Past searches and session data
- Subscription Data: Tier information and payment history
- Social Connections: Companion lists and shared sessions
Data Retention
Account data is deleted immediately and permanently upon confirmation. We do not retain personal information after account deletion, except where required by law for:
- Fraud Prevention: Minimal transaction records, up to 90 days
- Legal Compliance: Tax records, as required by law
ℹ️ Note: If you have an active subscription, it will be canceled immediately. You will not receive a refund for any remaining subscription period.
Alternative: Delete Specific Data
If you don't want to delete your entire account, you can delete specific data:
- Cuisine Preferences: Reset in the app under Preferences → "Reset All"
- Search History: Automatically cleared after each session
- Companions: Remove individual companions in the search screen
